All electrical distribution systems must be tested during their operational life, initially during installation and final commissioning, and thereafter on a routine basis as part of a regular maintenance programme, or after prolonged periods of disuse.

These tests will ensure not only that the installation operates as designed, but that all modes of standby equipment and protection systems are fully functional when required.

EMP Ltd offer clients a fully tested, fully certified system. Most importantly, all supporting calculations and supplementary data schedules are issued, which in the event of catastrophic equipment failure and/or damage to property, forms essential documentation that can be submitted to insurance companies on demand.

The testing and commissioning of high voltage electrical equipment is a highly specialised activity requiring every installation being tested by a trained engineer to exacting standards.
